Ultraman Arc: AI robot Youpi appears, voiced by Yuya Hirose

A new character for "Ultraman Arc," the new work in the special effects drama "Ultraman" series, has been announced, and it has been revealed that the AI robot Youpi will appear. The robot is an autonomous AI-equipped support robot for SKIP, the Monster Disaster Prevention Science Research Institute to which Yuma Hize, who transforms into Ultraman Arc belongs. Its official name is Youpi the Robot. It was also announced that Yuya Hirose will be the voice actor for Youpi.

Yupi is 2 meters tall and weighs 220 kg. His catchphrase is "Leave it to Yupi." He is equipped with cameras in both eyes and on his chest, a loudspeaker in the center of his chest, lights on his shoulders, and multi-nozzles with various functions in his superhuman strength arms. His head and torso can be separated, with the head "Yu" acting as a drone to quickly respond to land, sea and air, while the torso "Pee" performs various missions on the ground.

The theme of the new work "Ultraman Arc" is "The Power of Imagination." The protagonist, Yuma Hize, a rookie researcher who has just joined the Institute for Scientific Research on Monsters and Disaster Prevention (SKIP), becomes one with a messenger of light who descends to Earth from a faraway galaxy, becoming a giant Ultraman Arc and protecting the future of humans and the Earth from an impending crisis. Takanori Tsujimoto, who has participated as a director in the "New Generation Ultraman" series since "Ultraman X," will serve as the main director for the first time, and Jun Tsugita, who has teamed up with Tsujimoto on the "Ultraman" series, will be in charge of series composition and main scriptwriting. New actor Yuki Totsuka will play Tobise Yuuma.

It will be broadcast on TV Tokyo every Saturday at 9:00 a.m. starting July 6th.
