Ichikawa Haruko's popular manga "Land of the Lustrous," which was also adapted into a TV anime, reached its final chapter in the June issue of the magazine "Monthly Afternoon" (Kodansha), which went on sale on April 25th, bringing the series to a close after 12 years of serialization. In a comment of gratitude, author Ichikawa said, "This is the final chapter of 'Land of the Lustrous.' Thank you very much for the past 12 years. It was fun to draw, and I'm glad I was able to finish it as planned."

The issue featured "Land of the Lustrous" on the cover and opening pages, with the caption "Towards a truly beautiful world." The final 13th volume of the manga will be released in the fall of 2024. A special edition will also be released at the same time. To commemorate the end of the series, Kodansha's web manga service "Comic DAYS" is running a free release campaign for all chapters (except the final episode) until April 29th.
