Ultraman: The full-length CG animation "Ultraman: Rising" Japanese dubbing to feature Hiroko Sakurai, Takaya Aoyagi, Fumiyo Kohinata, Akari Hayami, and Fumihiko Tachiki

The cast for the Japanese dub of "Ultraman: Rising," a full-length CG animation from the "Ultraman" special effects drama series produced by Tsuburaya Productions and Netflix, has been announced, revealing that Hiroko Sakurai, who played Officer Akiko Fuji in "Ultraman," will appear. Sakurai will play the mother of Wakita Ami, a single mother journalist who develops a relationship with the main character Sato Ken. It was also announced that Takaya Aoyagi, who plays Jugglus Juggler in "Ultraman Orb" and "Ultraman Z," will appear as Officer Aoshima, the right-hand man of Dr. Onda, the cold-hearted commander of the Kaiju Defense Force (KDF).

It was also revealed that Fumiyo Kohinata will play Ken's estranged father, Professor Sato, Akari Hayami will play Ami Wakita, Fumihiko Tachiki will play Dr. Onda, and Ayumi Tsunematsu will play Mina, the supercomputer who looks after Ken. Yuki Yamada will play the main character, Ken, who becomes Ultraman.

The official trailer was also released on YouTube. The story is about a popular baseball player, Ken Sato, who returns to Japan to succeed Ultraman, and ends up raising a baby monster, the child of his arch enemy. The trailer shows Ultraman flying with the baby monster on his back, and the baby monster running around the city.

The animation will be directed by Shannon Tindle, who has participated in "Kubo and the Two Strings" and other projects, and will also write the script. It will be available on Netflix from June 14.
