A press conference for the new episode (episode 9) "Poaching Seashore" of the popular NHK drama series "Thus Spoke Rohan Kishibe" starring Issei Takahashi was held on April 22nd at the NHK Broadcasting Center (Shibuya Ward, Tokyo). Producer Keisuke Tsuchihashi, who attended, introduced the work as "a very famous episode (in the original manga), and since the first year (of the drama series), many fans have been asking for it to be made into a movie." He explained the background of the production, saying, "It seems that director (Kazutaka Watanabe) thought it would be difficult to get started, but after working on "Going to the Louvre" (the movie), all the staff felt that we could do it now, so we made this."
Director Watanabe, who was also in attendance, commented, "I've been wanting to do it for a long time, but I've finally managed to get to it in the fifth year (of the drama series)." He continued, "In that sense, the accumulation of the past four years is coming out, and this time, on top of that, I think it's like a 'new Rohan,' and I think (Takahashi) is putting his body on the line more than ever before, so in that sense, I think the stability of the past, plus the new challenge, are all condensed into these 60 minutes."
The drama "Thus Spoke Rohan Kishibe" is a live-action adaptation of Araki's spin-off "Thus Spoke Rohan Kishibe", which stars Rohan Kishibe, a character from the popular manga series "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure". A suspense horror film in which Rohan, a manga artist with the ability to "read" people into books, encounters strange incidents and mysterious phenomena. Yasuko Kobayashi, who also participated in the anime `` JOJO'S BIZARRE ADVENTURE Bizarre Adventure'', will write the script.
In "Poaching Seashore", Rohan (Takahashi) comes face-to-face with the legendary leopard black abalone, which can cure any disease. Misako Renbutsu will play the role of Hatsune Morishima, and Alfredo Chiarenza will play the role of Tonio Trussardi.
