GTO Revival: Off-shots showing what it looks like 26 years later are released Takashi Sorimachi, Nanako Matsushima, Yosuke Kubozuka, Shun Oguri and others gather

On March 26th, off-shots from the filming of the Kantele Fuji TV 65th anniversary special drama ``GTO Revival'' (April 1st at 9pm) starring actor Takashi Sorimachi were released.

The photos released include Sorimachi, who plays the main character Eikichi Onizuka, Nanako Matsushima, who plays Onizuka's former colleague Azusa Fuyutsuki, Hiroyuki Ikeuchi, who plays his former student, Yuta Yamazaki, Yosuke Kubozuka, and Shun Oguri. This is a group shot of Shun ``26 years after'' the drama series.

The drama series "GTO" (Kantere/Fuji TV), starring Sorimachi, aired from July to September 1998, about Eikichi Onizuka, a teacher and the legendary head of a motorcycle gang, who commits outrageous acts against his students. A school drama where students come face-to-face with school problems. Based on Toru Fujisawa's manga of the same name (Kodansha), the live-action version stars Sorimachi and Matsushima as the heroine.The average audience rating for all 12 episodes (according to households and Video Research) was 28.5% in the Kanto region (the final episode 35.7%) and recorded a high audience rating. The theme song, ``POISON~I can't even say what I want to say~'', the theme song written and sung by Sorimachi, was also a big hit.

In "GTO Revival," which is being revived as a new special drama for the first time in about 26 years, Onizuka takes a new job as a teacher at Sotoku Gakuin High School, a private school full of problems, and gives Onizuka's passionate lessons to troubled students.
