It was announced on December 13th that actor Hiyori Sakurada has been selected as the main character for JR East's ``JRSKISKI'' 2023-2024 campaign. From the same day, poster visuals will appear at major stations in the JR East area and on brand sites.

"JR SKISKI" is a ski travel campaign that JR East has been running since 1991. It is characterized by the use of up-and-coming young actors as characters, and so far the cast has included Tsubasa Honda, Haruna Kawaguchi, Suzu Hirose, and Minami Hamabe. Last time, Sara Minami was in charge.
Sakurada said about his appointment, ``I told my mother as soon as I got home, and she cried and was happy with me.It was my dream commercial, so I was really, really happy, and I was really looking forward to filming.'' ” he commented.
