Gunpla World Cup: U-14 Japan representative wins with 12-year-old girl who has only been playing Gunpla for one year Inspired by famous scenes from "Z Gundam"

The Japan tournament of the 11th "Gunpla Builders World Cup 11th Tournament" of the "Gunpla Builders World Cup", a contest to determine the world's best plastic model (Gunpla) maker of the anime "Gundam" series, held on November 18th at Gundam Base Tokyo (Koto-ku, Tokyo). In the U-14 course for those aged 14 and under, 12-year-old Yuzuki Kojima's ``Camille To Space...'' won and was selected to represent Japan. Kojima, who has been playing Gunpla for about a year, won a ticket to the world tournament.

The winning work is inspired by the 20th episode of the TV anime "Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam", "The Heated Escape". Produced with "HG 1/144 Psycho Gundam", "MG 1/100 Gundam Mk-II", etc. The production period is approximately 3 months. Yuzuki tried to express the memorable scene from episode 20, but he felt that ``reproducing the scene normally would be no fun,'' so he created the Gunpla from his own unique perspective.

The TV anime `` Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam'' was broadcast in 1985-86, and although it was before Yuzuki was born, ``I saw the first (Mobile Suit Gundam) and then ``Z.'' .

Gunpla Builders World Cup is an international competition that competes in Gunpla construction, painting techniques, ideas, etc., and started in 2011. This year, like last time, there was a U-14 course for those aged 14 and under, a U-20 course for those aged 15 to 20, and an OVER-21 course for those aged 21 and over, all of which were judged by Katsumi Kawaguchi of Bandai Spirits, also known as Kawaguchi Meijin.

The OVER-21 course at the Japan tournament was won by morish's ``RIGGING Outfit'', and the U-20 course was won by kosei's ``Valiant''.

The contest will be held in 16 countries and regions. Regional competitions will be held in each area and representatives will be selected. Each representative will compete in the world tournament finals to be held on December 16th.
