Visual release of the stage version of “Cyborg 009” Hiroki Nanami “Joe Shimamura” 001/Ivan Whiskey also appears

The main visual for the first stage performance of Shotaro Ishinomori's popular manga "Cyborg 009", "Stage 'Cyborg 009'", has been released. Cyborg warriors including 009/Joe Shimamura, played by former Takarazuka Revue actor star Hiroki Nanami, have assembled. Solo visuals for the 11 main cast members and a spot video featuring 009/Joe Shimamura have also been released. It was also announced that 001/Ivan Whiskey will appear on stage. The voice cast will be announced at a later date.

It was also announced that Nanami will be appointed as the 60th anniversary ambassador for the stage adaptation of "Cyborg 009", which celebrates its 60th anniversary this year. After-events will be held for all performances. A special curtain call will be held where the performers will perform their actions and poses, as well as a solo curtain call for 009/Joe Shimamura. There will be a curtain call where spectators can take photos and post on social media. There will also be an after-talk show. It will be performed at Nihon Seinenkan (Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo) from May 18th to 26th.

"Cyborg 009" is a manga depicting nine warriors, including Joe Shimamura, who were turned into cyborgs by the evil organization Black Ghost Group, and fight for justice together with Dr. Gilmore. It began serialization in ``Weekly Shonen King'' (Shonen Gahosha) in 1964, and was serialized in ``Shonen Sunday'' (Shogakukan) and ``Monthly Shonen Jump'' (Shueisha).
