Haikyu!! The Movie: "Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump" is the fastest screening Ayumu Murase, Kaito Ishikawa, Yuki Kaji, Yuichi Nakamura are delighted at the "start of the battle"

The latest movie version of "Haikyu!! the Movie: Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump" (directed by Mitsunaka Susumu), based on the popular volleyball manga "Haikyu!!," an anime adaptation by Haruichi Furudate, was shown at cinemas in six cities nationwide from midnight on February 16th, the day of its release. Voice actors Murase Ayumu, Ishikawa Kaito, Kaji​ ​Yuki, and Yuichi Nakamura appeared at a pre-screening stage greeting at TOHO Cinemas Shinjuku (Shinjuku, Tokyo). The movie depicts the "Battle at the Garbage Dump," a fateful battle between Karasuno High School and Nekoma High School, both popular in the original work, and the voice actors spoke of their joy at the "opening of the showdown."

The stage greeting was attended by the cast members of the two schools: Murase as Shoyo Hinata and Ishikawa as Tobio Kageyama of Karasuno High School, Kaji as Kenma Kozume of Nekoma High School, and Nakamura as Tetsuro Kuroo. The movie version is an episode following the Inarizaki High School match depicted in the fourth season of the TV anime broadcast in 2020, and Murase said, "Nekoma and Karasuno are related opponents, and there is a connection between the individual players, so I think there are many people who have strong feelings in terms of drama. The time has finally come. I hope everyone will see it as soon as possible."

"Haikyu!!" was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from February 2012 to July 2020. The story depicts Shoyo Hinata, who was defeated in the last official match of his junior high school days, reunites with Tobio Kageyama from the team he lost to at Karasuno High School's volleyball club, and together they aim for the top. The cumulative circulation of the series is over 60 million copies.

The first season of the TV anime will be from April to September 2014, the second season will be from October 2015 to March 2016, the third season will be from October to December 2016, and the first season of the fourth season will be from January 2020. In April, the second season was broadcast from October to December.

The movie version is a two-part series, and the first part is an episode that follows the battle against Inarizaki High School that was depicted in the fourth season of the TV anime, and the battle between Karasuno High School and Nekoma High School, which is also popular in the original work, "Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump" is drawn.
