The live-action drama `` Yu Yu Hakusho'', based on Yoshihiro Togashi's popular manga, began streaming worldwide on Netflix on December 14th, and debuted at number 1 on the weekly global top 10 (non-English series). It ranked second in the world in all language series, including English, and was the highest ever for a series originating from Japan. It has ranked in the top 10 of "Today's Series" in 92 countries and regions around the world, and has ranked first in Japan's "Today's Series" top 10 for five consecutive days since distribution began.
"Yu Yu Hakusho" is a popular manga serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from 1990 to 1994. The live-action drama is planned and produced by Netflix. Takumi Kitamura plays Yusuke Urameshi, Jun Shison plays Kurama, Kanata Hongo plays Hiei, and Shuhei Uesugi plays Kazuma Kuwabara.
