It has been announced that the TV anime `` Kaiju No. 8'' will be broadcast on TV Tokyo and other channels from April 2024, and will also be streamed in real time worldwide on X (Twitter). Using X's live streaming function, all episodes will be streamed at the same time as terrestrial broadcasting. The main PV, which depicts a powerful battle scene between the Japan Defense Force, an elite group of monster subjugators, and monsters, was also released on YouTube.

"Kaiju No. 8" is a popular manga by Matsumoto Naoya that has been serialized in "Shonen Jump+" since July 2020. Set in Japan, a monster superpower where monsters mercilessly invade everyday life, the story follows the adventures of the protagonist, Kafka Hibino whose body has been transformed into a monster by a mysterious creature. It also made headlines when it was selected as the winner of the Web Manga category of the "Next Manga Awards 2021" in 2021. The comic has sold over 12 million copies in total. The anime will be produced by Production IG, the studio behind the "Ghost in the Shell" series.
