The North American trailer for the latest film in the "Godzilla" series of monster movies "Godzilla Minus One" (directed by Takashi Yamazaki) has been released on YouTube. The film's North American release date is scheduled for December 1.
"Godzilla Minus One" was produced to commemorate next year's 70th anniversary of the release of the first "Godzilla" (1954). Godzilla appears in post-war Japan, a scorched earth, and knocks Japan down to the "minus" level. Yamazaki, who has directed "Always: Sunset on Third Street 2" (2007) and "Stand by Me Doraemon" (2014), will also be in charge of the screenplay and VFX.
Ryunosuke Kamiki plays the lead role, Minami Hamabe plays the heroine, and other cast members include Yuki Yamada, Munetaka Aoki, Hidetaka Yoshioka, Sakura Ando, and Kuranosuke Sasaki.
