New footage from "Godzilla Minus One", the latest in the "Godzilla" monster movie series, has been released on YouTube. The 15-second video, which includes many cuts that are being shown for the first time, shows the scene of postwar Japan being destroyed by Godzilla.
The video shows a scene in which Godzilla's dorsal fin emits an eerie blue-white glow, and Godzilla approaches from the ocean. There are also scenes in which Godzilla roars into the sky and scenes in which main character Koichi Shikishima (Ryuunosuke Kamiki) confronts Godzilla with a machine gun.
"Godzilla Minus One" was produced to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the release of the first "Godzilla" next year. Godzilla appears in post-war Japan, a scorched earth, and knocks Japan down to the "minus" level. Directed by Takashi Yamazaki. Released in Japan on November 3rd.
Kamiki will play the lead role, and Minami Hamabe will play the heroine, Noriko Oishi. Yuki Yamada, Munetaka Aoki, Hidetaka Yoshioka, Sakura Ando, and Kuranosuke Sasaki will appear.
