The sequel to the TV anime "The New Prince of Tennis U-17 WORLD CUP", "The New Prince of Tennis U-17 WORLD CUP SEMIFINAL", will start on October 2nd.

It has been announced that the sequel to the TV anime "New Prince of Tennis U-17 WORLD CUP," based on the popular tennis manga "New Prince of Tennis" by Konomi Takeshi, "New Prince of Tennis U-17 WORLD CUP SEMIFINAL," will be broadcast on TV Tokyo and other networks from October 2nd. The sequel depicts the semi-finals of the U-17 World Cup, where the Japanese and German teams compete, and a promotional video has been released on YouTube featuring Japanese players Echizen Ryoma, Yukimura Seiichi, and German players Jurgen Barisavich-Borck and Tezuka Kunimitsu.

The key visual was also released, depicting the Japanese and German national teams, with the copy, "I want to beat everyone on the other side of the court." It was also announced that singer Kidella will be in charge of the opening theme "Wake up."

"The New Prince of Tennis U-17 WORLD CUP" is the first TV series in about 10 years since "The New Prince of Tennis" was broadcast in 2012, and depicts the national teams competing in the U-17 World Cup. It was broadcast from July to September 2022.

"The Prince of Tennis" is a manga that was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from 1999 to 2008. It follows the story of Echizen Ryoma, a tennis genius boy who distinguishes himself in the Seishun Academy tennis club, and his growth through battles with rival schools. A new series, "The New Prince of Tennis", has been serialized in "Jump SQ." (Shueisha) since 2009.
