The 21st episode of the all-new TV anime "Spice and Wolf MERCHANT MEETS THE WISE WOLF," based on the popular light novel "Spice and Wolf" by Isuna Hasekura, published by Dengeki Bunko (KADOKAWA), entitled "The Contract Between the Heretic Village and the Priest," will be broadcast on TV Tokyo and other channels from late August 26th.
Feeling something strange about the way Elsa and the village chief of Tereo talk, Lawrence goes to the bar to find out more about the village. He learns from the people there that the village worships a snake god and is not on good terms with the church of Enberg, which does not recognize pagan gods. Lawrence also wonders why the village seems to have a lot of leeway, despite the heavy taxes that should be imposed.
"Spice and Wolf" is a light novel that depicts the journey of traveling merchant Kraft Lawrence and Holo, a wolf incarnation worshipped as the god of fertility. The first season of the TV anime was broadcast in 2008, and the second season in 2009.
