Orb: On the Movements of the Earth: Yorushika will be in charge of the ending theme for the TV anime

It has been revealed that the band Yorushika will be in charge of the ending theme "Osamu Tezuka" for the TV anime "Orb: On the Movements of the Earth" which is based on the manga by Uoto, which was also selected as the winner of the Manga Grand Prize at the 26th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize. The opening theme will be handled by the band Sakanaction.

The series was serialized in Weekly Big Comic Spirits (Shogakukan) from 2020 to 2022. Set in 15th century Europe, it depicts people risking their lives to study the heretical theory of heliocentrism. In response to the expectations of those around him, the child prodigy Rafal declares that he will major in theology, which was considered the most important subject at the time, but he is unable to abandon his passion for astronomy, which he has been passionate about for a long time. One day, Rafal meets Hubert, a mysterious scholar who is researching a shocking "hypothesis" about the universe.

The anime will be produced by Madhouse, which has produced "Summer Wars" and other works. Maaya Sakamoto will play Rafal, a child prodigy who was allowed to skip a grade and enter university, Kenjiro Tsuda will play Novak, the judge for heresy, and Show Hayami will play Hubert, a mysterious scholar. It will be broadcast on NHK General TV every Saturday at 11:45 pm from October.
