Director Shoji Kawamori commented, "Macross: Do You Remember Love? has been remastered in 4K. After 40 years, I am finally able to deliver the visuals that I had imagined back then. With this 4K remaster, I was amazed at how precisely in focus even scenes that I felt were out of focus were. In addition, the tones in dark scenes have become clearer! The details can now be seen more clearly, and the sense of realism has been enhanced. Looking back at that time, I realize that it was something that could not have been created without that time, place, age, and with those members. I hope that everyone will enjoy the decultural feeling of traveling through the vast hyper-dimensional universe with Macross!"
