The manga ``Jujutsu Kaisen'' will end with ``5 more episodes'' Gege Akutami ``(Maybe) I want it to be a satisfying final chapter.''

It was revealed on August 19th that Gege Akutami Gege's popular manga "Jujutsu Kaisen," currently being serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha), will conclude in "five more chapters." The final chapter will be in the 44th issue of the magazine, which will be released on September 30th, bringing the serialization to a close after about six and a half years. In preparation for the conclusion, it was also announced that Shueisha's manga app "Shonen Jump +" and online bookstore "Zebrack" will be hosting the largest free release project to date.

Akutami commented, "The story will end in five episodes. It is entirely thanks to the support and cooperation of all our readers that I am able to conclude the story in the way I wanted. Thank you so much!! We are working hard to create a final episode that will (hopefully) be satisfying to as many people as possible who have supported 'Jujutsu Kaisen'. So everyone!! Please forgive us, Taira!!"

As the series nears its conclusion, 245 chapters, the largest number to date, will be released for free on "Shonen Jump+" and "Zebrack". Chapters 1-18 (Jutai Taiten) are currently available until September 29th. Chapters 19-79 (Young Fish and Reverse Punishment -Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu) will be available from August 26th to September 1st, chapters 80-136 (Yoi Matsuri -Shibuya Incident) from September 2nd to 8th, chapters 137-173 (Culling Game 1) from September 9th to 15th, chapters 174-215 (Culling Game 2) from September 16th to 22nd, and chapters 216-245 (Yu - Battle in Shinjuku, the Realm of the Supernatural) from September 23rd to 29th.

"Jujutsu Kaisen" began serialization in "Weekly Shonen Jump" in March 2018. The story is about a high school student, Yuji Itadori, who is thrown into a world of battles over curses after a powerful "cursed object" is unsealed. 27 volumes of the comics have been released, and the total number of copies of the series has exceeded 90 million.

The anime has also gained popularity, with the first TV anime season airing from October 2020 to March 2021. The film version "Jujutsu Kaisen 0," a prequel to the first season, was released in December 2021 and was a huge hit, grossing approximately 13.75 billion yen at the domestic box office and 26.5 billion yen worldwide. The second TV anime season was broadcast from July to December 2023. A sequel to the anime, "Culling Game," is also in the works.
