The synopsis for episode 7 (to be aired on August 25th) of "Black Pean Season 2," a drama starring Ninomiya Kazunari and currently airing on TBS's "Sunday Theater" slot (Sundays at 9pm), has been released.

In episode 7, Saeki (Uchino Masaaki) performed emergency surgery on Uesugi Motors' president, Uesugi Toshikazu (Sakai Masaaki), while Amagi (Ninomiya) was away, but he stopped the operation without using the Saeki method. Uesugi was saved by switching to drug treatment, but the head nurse, Fujiwara (Kamino Misuzu), was worried about Saeki, who seemed different from usual.

Later, Toshihiro (Masaru Shirota), the son of Chairman Uesugi and president of Uesugi Motors, comes to Tojo University. Toshihiro asks Amagi to make Chairman Uesugi's surgery fail in exchange for a large reward. The father and son are in conflict over management, and Toshihiro wants the chairman to retire. In fact, Sugai (Yasunori Danta) of Ishin University has been privy to Toshihiro, and is plotting something using the medical department of Uesugi Motors.

Saeki has dinner with the deputy director, Ejiri Kie (Oguro Maki), and the clinical trial coordinator, Shiino Misaki (Tanaka Minami). Ejiri is conducting research on remote medical treatment using medical AI, Elcano, with a professor at Ishin University, and Saeki cheers him on. Misaki also has a strong interest in remote medical treatment.

It is decided that Amagi will perform surgery on Chairman Uesugi on the day of the election for the president of the All Japan Medical Association. However, Amagi fails to perform direct anastomosis, which has a 100% success rate... Who will win the election for the president of the All Japan Medical Association?

The original work is "Blaze Scalpel 1990" and "Surijie Center 1991" (Kodansha Bunko) by Takeru Kaido, who is known for the "Team Batista's Glory" series. In season 1, Ninomiya played Seijiro Tokai, a genius surgeon known as the "devil of the operating room," but in season 2, he plays Yukihiko Amagi, a world-renowned expert in coronary artery bypass surgery and a money-grubber known as the "Diable (devil)."
