It has been announced that an original short movie project for the popular anime "Lycoris Recoil" is underway. Six short movies will be produced, set in Cafe LycoReco, depicting the new daily lives of Chisato Nishikigi and Takina Inoue. Each short movie will be storyboarded and directed by a different creator under the direction of Shingo Adachi, and some movies will be scripted by character designer Imigimuru. Details such as the release date will be announced in the future. The announcement was made during the special program "LycoReco Production 2nd Anniversary Streaming at Sumida Aquarium by Anzai-san and Wakayama-san" which was streamed on July 23rd.

"Lycoris Recoil" is an original TV anime directed by Adachi, who was the character designer and chief animation director for the "Sword Art Online" and "WORKING!!" series. The story depicts the exploits of a young girl (Lycoris) who is an agent for the secret organization DA (Direct Attack), which prevents crimes from happening.
The TV anime was broadcast from July to September 2022, and it has also been adapted into a novel, comic book, and stage play. It has also been announced that a new anime will be produced.
