The 17th episode "Traveling Merchant's shallow wisdom and Town Merchant's Signboard" of the completely new TV anime "Spice and Wolf MERCHANT MEETS THE WISE WOLF," based on the popular light novel "Spice and Wolf" by Isuna Hasekura of Dengeki Bunko (KADOKAWA), will be broadcast on TV Tokyo and other stations from midnight July 22, 2012.

Due to their misunderstanding about Yoitsu, a rift has developed between Lawrence and Holo. Meanwhile, Amati has been making profits from trading pyrite, and is steadily making progress in paying off Holo's debt. Lawrence is in a difficult position, but he comes up with a way to turn things around and proposes a deal to Amati. It is also a challenge to a "duel" for Holo.
"Spice and Wolf" is a light novel that depicts the journey of traveling merchant Kraft Lawrence and Holo, a wolf incarnation worshipped as the god of fertility. The first season of the TV anime was broadcast in 2008, and the second season in 2009.
