Gundam: Kansai's first life-sized Gundam statue to be erected at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan

It was revealed on June 26th that a life-sized Gundam statue will be installed at the GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE PAVILION, a pavilion for the popular anime series Gundam, at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan. This will be the first time a life-sized Gundam statue will be installed in the Kansai region. It will utilize materials from the moving life-sized Gundam installed at Yamashita Pier in Yokohama. The statue is posed with one knee raised and an arm raised, and is not movable.

The announcement was made at Gundam Conference SUMMER 2024, a presentation for the Gundam series, held on June 26. Hiroshi Sakakibara, Chief Gundam Officer (CGO) of the Bandai Namco Group, said, "Construction of the pavilion is proceeding as scheduled. We are planning a performance that everyone can enjoy. We hope that people all over the world will come and see it."

The Bandai Namco Group will exhibit a pavilion set in "Another Universal Century" at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan. The theme will be "A world where we coexist with Gundam to solve the problems of the future society." Details of the pavilion will be announced in the future.
