Kaiju No. 8: First game adaptation Kaiju No. 8fights fiercely!

It has been announced that the TV anime "Kaiju No. 8", based on the popular manga by Naoya Matsumoto, will be made into a game for smartphones and PCs. This will be the first time the work has been made into a game. Akatsuki Games will plan, produce, develop, and operate the project, and it will be a joint project involving Toho, which is in charge of the anime, and Production I.G.

The first trailer for the game has also been released. It shows Kaiju No. 8 and the 3rd Defence Force Unit engaged in a fierce battle in a city devastated by a monster attack. A key visual has also been released, depicting Kaiju No. 8 standing tall against a gigantic monster, his giant monster-sized fists ready and in full motion, with the tagline "Break through. A blow from the monster dimension."

"Kaiju No. 8" has been serialized in "Shonen Jump+" since July 2020. Set in Japan, a monster superpower where monsters mercilessly invade everyday life, the story follows the adventures of the protagonist, Kafka Hibino whose body has been transformed into a monster by a mysterious creature. It also won the grand prize in the web manga category of the "Next Manga Awards 2021" in 2021. The comic has sold over 13 million copies in total. The anime airs every Saturday at 11pm on TV Tokyo and other channels.
