SPY×FAMILY: TV anime season 3 production confirmed! Super teaser visual released

It has been revealed that Season 3 of the TV anime series "SPY×FAMILY," based on the manga by Tatsuya Endo currently being serialized on Shueisha's manga app "Shonen Jump+," will be produced as a sequel. A "super teaser visual" featuring a sleeping Anya Forger and Bond Forger has also been released. The visual was drawn by character designer Kazuaki Shimada and designed by art director Yuni Yoshida, who has worked on the key visuals for the TV drama "Elpis" and advertisements for the cosmetics brand "Ettusais."

The announcement was made at the film's "ANIME EXTRA MISSION" event held on June 9 at Musashino no Mori Sogo Sports Plaza (Chofu City, Tokyo). The event featured voice actors Takuya Eguchi, Saori Hayami, Kenichirou Matsuda, Kensho Ono, Natsumi Fujiwara, Emiri Kato, and Ayane Sakura.

"SPY×FAMILY" began serialization in March 2019 on Shueisha's manga app "Shonen Jump+". The story is about a skilled spy who creates a temporary family for his mission and starts a new life. A spy father, a psychic daughter, and an assassin mother live together, hiding their true identities from each other. The comic series has sold over 35 million copies in total.

The first cour of the first season of the TV anime aired from April to June 2022, and the second cour from October to December of the same year. Season 2 aired from October to December 2023. The animated film "Spy × Family Code: White" was released in December 2023 and was a huge hit, grossing 6.26 billion yen and attracting an audience of over 4.64 million people.
