"Yusha" was produced based on a novel written under the supervision of Kanehito Yamada, the original author of "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End." The music video was produced by Madhouse, the same company that produced the TV anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End," and is entirely made up of original animation.

"Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" is a manga written by Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe, which began serialization in "Weekly Shonen Sunday" (Shogakukan) in April 2020. Frieren is a magician in the hero's party who defeated the Demon King. She is an elf and has a long lifespan, but after experiencing the death of her companions, she sets out on a journey to "get to know people."

The anime was directed by Keiichiro Saito, known for "Bocchi the Rock!", and produced by Madhouse. It aired from September 2023 to March 2024.
