Kid is after a Japanese sword connected to Toshizo Hijikata, vice-chief of the Shinsengumi who lived during the late Edo period. The famous detective from the west, Heiji Hattori, Conan Edogawa and others are also visiting Hakodate for a Kendo tournament. On the day of the warning, Heiji sees through Kid's disguise and corners him.
