Mashle: Anime sequel production decided Teaser trailer released

It has been announced that a sequel to the anime "Mashle", based on the manga by Komoto Hajime Komoto that was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha), will be produced. The announcement was made at the event "Mash Burnedead and the Cream-Colored Research - A Study in Cream -" held on May 26th at the Hulic Hall Tokyo (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo), and Teaser trailer was released. Appearing at the event were Chiaki Kobayashi, who plays Mash Burnedead, Reiji Kawashima, who plays Finn Ames, Kaito Ishikawa Kaito, who plays Lance Crown, Takuya Eguchi, who plays Dot Barrett, Reina Ueda, who plays Lemon Lemon Irvine, Yuki Kaji, who plays Rayne Ames, and Yuichiro Umehara, who plays Abel Walker.

"Mashle" was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" from January 2020 to July 2023. Set in the magical world, the story follows Mash Burnedead, a boy who cannot use magic, who enrolls in a magic school and aims to be at the top with the power of his well-trained muscles. The comic has sold over 10 million copies in total.

The first season of the TV anime was broadcast from April to June 2023, and the second season from January to March 2024. The opening theme song for the second season, "Bling-Bang-Bang-Born," performed by the hip-hop unit "Creepy Nuts," became a hit and attracted a lot of attention.
