The "CHOGOKIN 50th Anniversary Exhibition," an event celebrating the 50th anniversary of Bandai Spirits' "Chogokin" toy series, began on May 10th at TAMASHII NATIONS STORE TOKYO in Akihabara, Tokyo. The event looked back on the history of the popular series, which began with the smash hit "Chogokin Mazinger Z" released in 1974, and new products were also unveiled. The event will run until July 1st.

The event will be greeted by the original "Chogokin Mazinger Z," released by Poppy (now Bandai) in 1974. All the "Mazinger Z" toys released in the "Chogokin" series to date will be on display, and the new "Soul of Chogokin GX-105D Mazinger Z Kakumei Shinka Damage Version" will be on display as a reference.
In its 50-year history, the "Chogokin" series has spawned many spinoffs, including "Soul of Chogokin," "METAL BUILD," "METAL ROBOT Spirit," and "Kaitai Shouki." The history of the series will also be explained.
One of the highlights of the event is the toy "Soul of Chogokin Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion E5 Hayabusa", which is likely to attract attention as Takara Tomy is developing toys for "Shinkalion". As a unique item, "Chogokin Azuki Bar", a collaboration with Azuki Bar, was also announced.
