Nagoya Touken World: A new sword museum opens in Nagoya on May 1st

The Nagoya Touken Museum "Nagoya Touken World" (Naka Ward, Nagoya City) opened on May 1st, exhibiting Japanese swords, armor, ukiyo-e, guns, and more. The museum has a collection of over 550 swords, including national treasures, important cultural properties, and important art objects, with 200 Japanese swords on permanent display. There are also about 50 pieces of armor, 250 matchlock guns and old Western guns, and ukiyo-e prints on permanent display.

There are also life-sized armored warriors and mounted warriors, a photo spot where you can take photos, and an experiential theater where impressive images are projected. Opening hours are from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Admission fees are 1,200 yen for adults, 500 yen for university and high school students, 300 yen for junior high and elementary school students, and 1,000 yen for seniors.
