Magic Kaito: New work published in "Sunday" for the first time in 7 years New series begins

A new episode of "Magic Kaito", a manga by Gosho Aoyama, known for "Detective Conan" and other works, was published in the 20th issue of "Weekly Shonen Sunday" (Shogakukan), released on April 10th. This is the first time in about seven years since 2017 that a new episode of "Magic Kaito" has been published in the magazine, and it will be published for three consecutive weeks. A new series will begin for the first time in about seven years, and an important "new character" will appear.

To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the serialization of "Detective Conan" and the release of the latest animated film "Detective Conan: One million dollar guidepost" on April 12th, in which Kaito Kid appears as the main character, a new work of "Magic Kaito" has been published.

"Magic Kaito" is Aoyama's first serialized work, and depicts the high school student Kaito Kuroba's adventures as the phantom thief Kid in order to investigate the mystery behind the death of his father, who was a genius magician and Kaito Kid. The series began serialization in 1987 in the "Weekly Shonen Sunday Special Edition" (Shogakukan) and has been serialized irregularly.
