Frieren: Beyond Journey's End: First-Class mage exam Serie holds the key to passing or failing the final exam Episode 27 "An Era of Humans" cut released

A cut of episode 27, "An Era of Humans", of the TV anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" which is based on the manga currently being serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday" (Shogakukan), has been released. In episode 27, the second stage of the first-class mage exam is over, and the third and final exam is about to take place. The released cut depicts Serie, who holds the key to passing or failing the final exam.

Episode 27 will be broadcast on Nippon Television's anime slot "FRIDAY ANIME NIGHT" on March 15th at 11pm. Twelve people, including Frieren and Fern, passed the second exam by conquering the Fallen Royal Tomb. Frieren visits a certain place to repair Fern's staff, which was shattered during the second exam. After successfully passing the second exam, Frieren and Fern get into a fight due to an unexpected incident, but will they be able to make up before the final exam...!? The key to passing or failing the final exam is held by Serie, Flamme's instructor and the founder of the Continental Magic Association.

"Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" is a manga written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe, which began serialization in "Weekly Shonen Sunday" in April 2020. Frieren, a magician in the hero's party who defeated the Demon King, is an elf and has a long lifespan, but after experiencing the death of a companion, she sets out on a journey to "get to know people". The anime will be directed by Keiichiro Saito, who has also worked on "Bocchi the Rock!", and produced by Madhouse. Atsumi Tanezaki will play the main character Frieren, and voice actors such as Kana Ichinose and Chiaki Kobayashi will also appear.
