The key visual for the new series of the anime Black Butler, based on Yana Toboso's manga, Black Butler: Public School Arc, has been released. Set against the backdrop of Weston School, the setting of the series, it depicts Sebastian and Ciel infiltrating the school, as well as the P4, the prefects of the four dormitories.
As the first installment of the BTS (Behind the Scenes) series, character designer Yumi Shimizu's drawing video has been released on YouTube. The video shows Sebastian and Ciel drawing an illustration.
"Black Butler" is a manga by Yana Toboso that has been serialized in "Monthly G Fantasy" since September 2006. Set in the Phantomhive family, a prestigious aristocratic family in England, the story depicts the exploits of Sebastian, the perfect butler who serves his wayward 13-year-old master.
In the new anime series, Daisuke Ono, who plays Sebastian Michaelis, and Maaya Sakamoto, who plays Ciel Phantomhive, will continue to play the roles. Produced by CloverWorks.
Ciel receives a letter from the Queen informing him that Derrick, a relative who attends one of Britain's most prestigious boarding schools, Weston School, and several other students have lost touch with each other. Sebastian and Ciel head to Weston School to investigate the incident.
It will be broadcast on TOKYO MX and other channels from April 13th.
