It has been announced that actor Yo Oizumi will appear as a guest voice actor in the 27th film "Detective Conan: One million dollar guidepost", the latest theatrical version of the popular anime "Detective Conan". The new work will be set in Hakodate, Hokkaido, and Oizumi, who is from Hokkaido, will appear. Oizumi will play the key character Yoshihisa Kawazoe, a police officer in the Hokkaido Police Investigation Division 1.

Oizumi said, ``As a Hokkaido native, I was very happy to hear that Conan would be set in Hakodate, as I always want to promote Hokkaido because the story is set in Hakodate. I am also very honored to have been offered as a guest voice actor," he said happily.
The new film will be directed by Chika Nagaoka, written by Takahiro Okura, and composed by Yugo Kanno. It will be released on April 12th.
