It has been announced that actor Tomohisa Yamashita will star in the drama series ``Blue Moment'' (Fuji TV, Wednesdays at 10pm) starting in April 2024. This is the first time in five years that Yamashita has starred in a commercial drama series since ``In Hand'' (TBS) in April 2019. This is the first Fuji TV drama in seven years since the hit "Code Blue."
The original work is a manga of the same name by Kana Ozawa that is being serialized in "COMIC BRIDGE" (KADOKAWA). This film depicts the struggles of SDM Headquarters (Special Disaster Management Headquarters) members who use their wisdom and knowledge to risk their lives on the front lines in order to protect human lives threatened by severe weather disasters.
Mr. Yamashita plays the main character, Kankuro Haruhara, who is the chief of SDM headquarters and a meteorological researcher. His trademark is a handsome face and a refreshing smile, and he has appeared in the weather section of news programs, but his role is that he has a different side, working hard at disaster sites as a member of the SDM headquarters.
