Teasing Master Takagi-san: Live-action movie starring Mei Nagano Fumiya Takahashi plays Nishikata Original story drawn 10 years later

It has been announced that the popular manga "Teasing Master Takagi-san," which has sold over 12 million copies and has also been made into an anime, will be made into a live-action movie. The movie will be released on May 31, 2024, starring actress Mei Nagano. The movie is an original story that takes place 10 years after the original story's junior high school days, and Takahashi Fumiya will play Nishikata, who was always teased by Takagi-san.

The original work is a popular work by Soichiro Yamamoto that was serialized in the monthly manga magazine "Gessan" (Shogakukan) and other publications, and was completed in October of this year. The story depicting the daily life of Nishikata, a boy who is teased by the girl sitting next to him, Takagi-san, has become a hot topic, and has been made into a TV anime, a movie version. And a live-action drama will be broadcast next March. 

The movie depicts the story of Takagi-san, who returns to her alma mater as a teacher trainee 10 years after her junior high school days, and Nishikata, who has grown up and become a physical education teacher at his alma mater. Director Rikiya Imaizumi, who also directed the drama version, was in charge, and the entire film was shot on Shodoshima Island in Kagawa Prefecture, the birthplace of the original author, Yamamoto.
