Approximately 4minute video clip of the beginning of the film "Digimon Adventure 02 THE BEGINNING" (directed by Tomohisa Taguchi, to be released on October 27), a new film animation of "Digimon Adventure 02," the second TV animation of the popular "Digimon" series of anime and games, has been released on YouTube. While the classic song "Bolero", which was played in the first movie "Digimon Adventure" (1999) directed by Mamoru Hosoda and has become familiar in the same series, is played, a scene depicting a giant Digitama floating in the sky above Tokyo Tower.
The main video begins with Takeru Takaishi, who has become a novelist, writing a story with Digimon. The letters "Michinori" and "1" emerge from the text, and the word "Michinori" changes to "Route (√) 02", expressing that a new adventure for "Digimon Adventure 02" will be drawn. A giant Digitama that appears in the sky emits the message, ``Friends to everyone. Digimon to everyone in the world.'' The new character Rui Owada is also depicted looking up at the Digitama with a broken Digivice in hand.
The new movie version is a story set in 2012, 10 years after "Digimon Adventure 02", and features the main character, Daisuke Motomiya, who is now 20 years old, and the story behind the birth of "Chosen Children". A sad yet gentle truth is depicted. Following ``Digimon Adventure LAST EVOLUTION Kizuna'', Taguchi will serve as the director, and Akatsuki Yamatoya will be in charge of the screenplay. "Digimon Adventure 02" was produced as a sequel to the first TV anime "Digimon Adventure" and aired from April 2000 to March 2001. Set three years after "Digimon Adventure," it depicts the adventures of Daisuke Motomiya, a junior of Taichi Yagami and his friends.
