Rurouni Kenshin: Episode 16 "The Ideal Man" cut released: Raijuta's student Yutaro goes to Kamiya Dojo to battle Yahiko

A preview cut of episode 16, ``The Ideal Man,'' of the new TV anime of Nobuhiro Watsuki's popular manga ``Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story'' has been released. In episode 16, Yutaro Tsukayama, a disciple of Raijuta Isurugi, comes to Kamiya Dojo to challenge Yahiko Myojin, who has a bad relationship with him. Voice actor Kenta Miyake plays Raijuta Isurugi, and Yuko Sanpei plays Yutaro Tsukayama.

Raijuta, who wants to revive swordsmanship as a murderous sword, regards Kenshin Himura, who denies it, as his enemy. They set up a serious fight, but Kenshin's blow breaks Raijuta's sword and the situation ends. The day changes, and Yutaro, a boy who claims to be Raijuta's disciple, arrives at Kamiya Dojo. It is said that he wanted to challenge Yahiko to a match, but the way Yutaro held the bamboo sword was a hoax.

"Rurouni Kenshin" is a popular manga serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" from 1994 to 1999. The film depicts Kenshin Himura, who was feared as the Hitokiri Battousai at the end of the Edo period, as a wanderer who swore not to kill after the Meiji Restoration, searching for a way to live in a new era. The new chapter, ``Rurouni Kenshin -Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story, Hokkaido Arc-'' has been serialized in the monthly manga magazine ``Jump SQ.'' (Square) since 2017.

The new anime will be fully supervised by the original author, Watsuki, from character design to the scenario, and will reconstruct the original work from the first episode. It is currently being broadcast on Fuji TV's late-night anime slot "Noitamina" and elsewhere.
