The "Uta Birthday Festival 2023" event for the theatrical anime "ONE PIECE FILM RED" (directed by Goro Taniguchi), based on Eiichiro Oda 's popular manga "ONE PIECE," was held at Marunouchi TOEI (Chuo-ku, Tokyo) on October 1st, with Kaori Nazuka, who plays Uta, and Kenjiro Tsuda who plays Gordon, in attendance. The film, which was released in August 2022, has been announced to have an encore screening for one month only starting October 20th, and the event was held ahead of the encore screening.
Regarding the encore screening, Natsuka said, ``I was surprised.The recording was a year and a half ago, but I never expected it to turn out like this, and I think the encore screening was made possible thanks to everyone who always supports me. Thank you very much!'' Tsuda said, ``Anyway, the initial speed since its release was amazing. Last year marked the 25th anniversary of the series, and since then it has become even more popular in various fields. As expected, ONE PIECE," he said.
When the subject of ``memories of the recording and events of the same work'' came up, Natsuka said, ``I was able to do so many things that I thought it really happened in one year (laughs). At that time, I was desperately concentrating on the moment. However, now that I think about it, I can't say that I enjoyed every second of it.'' Tsuda said, ``The Budokan event was a lot of fun! Even in the waiting room, I was able to perform as the Straw Hat Pirates.''
