Digimon: "Digimon Pendulum" renewed for 25th anniversary with color LCD

The popular "Digimon" series of anime and games will have a portable LCD-based training game "Digimon Pendulum" renewed with a color LCD screen in the form of "Digimon Pendulum COLOR 1 NATURE SPIRITS," "Digimon Pendulum COLOR 2 DEEP SAVERS," and "Digimon Pendulum COLOR 3 NIGHTMARE SOLDIERS" (Bandai). Each will be priced at 7,150 yen.

"Digimon Pendulum," which was released in October 1998 as the successor to the original "Digital Monster" series, has been renewed to commemorate its 25th anniversary. Based on the shape of the original version, it has a built-in color LCD and rechargeable battery without compromising the size. It is now possible to change the background design, and new background images can be obtained by communicating with different versions, including the "Digital Monster COLOR" series.

Digimon that will appear are 32 in total in "NATURE SPIRITS" such as Triceramon and Tailmon, 32 in "DEEP SAVERS" such as Lucamon and Plesiomon, and 32 in "NIGHTMARE SOLDIERS" such as Wizardmon and LadyDevimon.

It also has a Jogress function, allowing the evolution of completely new Digimon and Digimon that could not be evolved with the original version. Some Digimon can evolve by using the Jogress function in combination with the "Digimon Pendulum COLOR".

In addition to increasing the training speed, it also features a Cold Mode that stops growth during cold periods, and a backup system that can back up up one Digimon being trained.

A promotional video for the product was also released on YouTube. Paying homage to the 1998 TV commercial, the video features a man in a swimsuit dancing to the memorable phrase, "Monmon Digimon Raising Monmon."

Reservations will be accepted from 4pm on October 2nd at Bandai Namco Group's official shopping site ``Premium Bandai''. Scheduled to ship in February 2024.
