The 13th episode of the new TV anime adaptation of Nobuhiro Nobuhiro Watsuki 's popular manga "Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story", titled "End of the Deadly Battle", will be broadcast on September 28th on Fuji TV's late-night anime slot "Noitamina" and elsewhere in Japan.
In order to kill Kenshin Himura, Takeda Kanryu uses a Gatling gun to rain bullets down on him, aiming at his own subordinates, the Oniwabanshu. In the face of this brutal act, the Oniwa Banshu use their individual abilities to fight against the Gatling Gun. At this moment, their goals and Kenshin became one. Kenshin and Oniwa Banshu team up to take on modern weapons with overwhelming power.
"Rurouni Kenshin" is a popular manga serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" from 1994 to 1999. The film depicts Kenshin Himura, who was feared as the Hitokiri Battousai at the end of the Edo period, as a wanderer who swore not to kill after the Meiji Restoration, searching for a way to live in a new era. The new chapter, ``Rurouni Kenshin -Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story, Hokkaido Arc-'' has been serialized in the monthly manga magazine ``Jump SQ.'' (Square) since 2017.
The new anime will be fully supervised by the original author, Watsuki, from character design to the scenario, and will reconstruct the original work from the first episode. It is currently being broadcast on Fuji TV's late-night anime slot "Noitamina" and elsewhere.
