Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba: Hashira Training Arc, 60-minute special final episode, viewership rating 6.4%

The eighth and final episode of the new TV anime "Hashira Training Arc", anime "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba," based on the popular manga by Koyoharu Gotouge, "The Hashira Unite," was broadcast as a 60-minute special on Fuji TV from 11:15 pm on June 30th, and the average viewership rating (Kanto region, surveyed by Video Research, same below) was 6.4% for households and 3.6% for individuals.

After the final episode aired, it was announced that a new anime film, "Infinity Castle Arc," following "Hashira Training Arc," would be produced as a three-part movie trilogy, which became a hot topic.

In the final episode of the "Hashira Training Arc," the progenitor of demons, Muzan Kibutsuji, and Demon Slaying Corps' master Kagaya Ubuyashiki met. With the master in danger, Tanjiro Kamado and the pillars gathered together to confront Muzan. The final battle between Demon Slaying Corps and Muzan began.

The story of "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" is about Tanjiro Kamado, whose family was killed by demons, joining Demon Slaying Corps to turn his sister Nezuko, who has also turned into a demon, back into a human. The original was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from 2016 to 2020. The total number of copies of the comics published is over 150 million.

The TV anime "Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc" aired from April to September 2019, and the movie version "Mugen Train" released in October 2020 was a huge hit, grossing approximately 40 billion yen, the highest ever box office revenue in Japan. The "Entertainment District Arc" aired from December 2021 to February 2022, and the "Swordsmith Village Arc" aired from April to June 2023.

The "Hashira Training Arc" depicted the "Hashira Training" of Demon Slaying Corps' strongest swordsmen, the Hashira, in preparation for the battle against Muzan Kibutsuji. The series began airing on May 12th and ended on June 30th.
