Black Jack: Recreating the cover of the original manga! The main visual for the live-action drama has been revealed

The main visual for TV Asahi's Premium Drama "Black Jack" (to be broadcast on June 30th at 9pm), a live-action adaptation of manga artist Tezuka Osamu Tezuka 's timeless masterpiece starring Issei Takahashi, was released on June 20th.

The cover of the seventh volume of the original manga, published by Akita Bunko, was recreated based on the idea of Isao Tsuge, who is in charge of the visual concept for the drama. Black Jack, played by Takahashi, is looking straight ahead with a scalpel that emits a mysterious yet divine light. From Black Jack 's posture to the font and layout of the text, every detail was carefully crafted to be full of respect for the worldview of the drama and the original work.

A promotional video was also released. The narrator is Akio Otsuka, who played Black Jack in the anime "Black Jack." The video is available on TV Asahi's official YouTube channel.

"Black Jack" is one of Osamu Tezuka 's masterpieces, serialized in "Weekly Shonen Champion" (Akita Publishing) from 1973 to 1983. This work, which will be the first TV drama adaptation in 24 years, will condense the famous episodes from the original work.
