MF Ghost: The first season of the TV anime will be rebroadcast Successor to "Initial D"

It has been announced that the first season of the TV anime "MF Ghost," based on the "successor" to the popular manga "Initial D" by Shuichi Shigeno, will be rebroadcast on TOKYO MX every Monday at 11pm starting July 1st.

"MF Ghost" began serialization in "Young Magazine" (Kodansha) in 2017. The story is set in Japan in the year 202X, when self-driving cars have become widespread. While road racing MFG is gaining popularity around the world, Kanata Katagiri (Kanata Rivington), who graduated from a racing school in the UK, returns to Japan to fulfill a certain goal.

The anime is directed by Tomohito Naka, known for the "New Theatrical Edition Initial D" series, and produced by Felix Film. Character design is by Naoyuki Onda, known for "Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway's Flash." The first season aired from October to December 2023. It has also been announced that the second season will air in 2024.
