The latest trailer begins with a message from All Might and a scene of Dark Might receiving it, and depicts Deku and friends facing a mysterious luminescence phenomenon and a sudden new threat. Along with a line from Giulio Gandini an original character for the movie, saying "You have no idea what my lady's 'quirk' is," the trailer also includes a scene of flower petals spilling out of Anna Scervino, as well as an action-packed scene with Class 1A U.A. High School 's Hero Course and a large group of pro heroes.

The latest work is the first animated film in about three years since the third animated film "My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission" released in 2021. It is set in the same timeline as the seventh season of the TV anime, and a major event that will shake the world occurs just before the final battle between Deku and the other heroes and the villains. Kenta Miyake, who plays the hero All Might, will play the dual role of Dark Might, the villain who looks just like All Might.

"My Hero Academia" began serialization in "Weekly Shonen Jump" in July 2014. Set in a world where about 80% of the population has supernatural powers and quirks, the story follows Izuku Midoriya, also known as Deku, as he strives to become the greatest hero. The comics have sold over 100 million copies worldwide.

The seventh season of the TV anime is currently being broadcast on Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV every Saturday at 5:30 pm.
