Tokyo Revengers: TV anime sequel in production, visuals and PV released

It has been announced that a sequel to the TV anime "Tokyo Revengers" based on Ken Wakui 's manga "Tokyo Revengers" will be produced. It will be a sequel to the "Tenjiku Arc" that aired from October to December 2023. A key visual depicting a wounded Takemichi and Mikey, as well as a promotional video featuring famous scenes from the series so far, have also been released.

The announcement was made at an event held at Mori no Hall 21 (Matsudo City, Chiba Prefecture) on June 16th. At the event, it was also announced that a project will be launched to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the TV anime's broadcast in 2025.

The work is a manga by Wakui, who is known for works such as "Shinjuku Swan," and was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha) from 2017 to 2022. It depicts Takemichi, a good-for-nothing part-time worker at rock bottom in life, seeking revenge to save his girlfriend and change the person he has always been, who has always run away. When Takemichi finds out that his middle school girlfriend, Hinata, was killed by the Tokyo Manji Gang, the most vicious and most evil gang, he travels back in time to his middle school days 12 years ago, when he was at the peak of his life. The live-action movie adaptation is also gaining popularity.

The TV anime "August 3rd Conflict Arc" and "Bloody Halloween Arc" were broadcast from April to September 2021, "Christmas Showdown Arc" from January to April 2023, and "Tenjiku Arc" from October to December 2023.
