Mushoku Tensei II: New chapter "Ten i Meikyu Arc" begins Roxy also appears in the visuals!

It has been announced that the second season of the TV anime series "Mushoku Tensei", "Mushoku Tensei II", based on a popular light novel on the novel submission site "Shosetsuka ni Naro", will enter a new chapter, "Ten i Meikyu(Transfer Labyrinth) Arc", from episode 19, "Desert Journey", which will air on May 26th. In episode 19, "Turning Point 3", Rudeus receives a letter stating "Zenith rescue difficult, help wanted", and decides to go and rescue her. A key visual and promotional video have been released for the new chapter.

The key visual depicts Rudeus, his father Paul the swordsman, Rudeus 's master Roxy the Migurd magician, Elven rapier Elinalise, information-gathering thief Geese, and dwarven magic warrior Talhand. In the background, we can see his captured mother Zenith and a mysterious monster with glowing red eyes. The PV is made up of scenes Rudeus traveling through the harsh desert on the way to the labyrinth city of Lapin, his father Paul's suffering, and the intense battle to save Zenith.

It has also been revealed that a special program titled "Mushoku Tensei II  [Ten i Meikyu Arc] Pre-release Special" will be broadcast on TOKYO MX, BS11 and other channels at midnight on May 18th. Appearing will be Yumi Uchiyama, who plays Rudeus, Ai Kayano, who plays Sylphiette, Saya Aizawa, who plays Norn, Yuki Takada, who plays Aisha, and Konomi Kohara who plays Roxy. The voice actors share their thoughts, with Uchiyama saying, "Mushoku Tensei II is a story that depicts a life in which things don't always go as expected, and everything you've experienced is nourishment for you. The Transfer Labyrinth Arc is peppered with moments where you can really feel that."

"Mushoku Tensei" is a story about a 34-year-old unemployed man who dies, but is reborn in a parallel world of swords and magic, where he uses his intelligence and regrets from his previous life to start a new life. This popular work is considered a pioneer of the "Narou" light novel genre, and was published as a book by MF Books (KADOKAWA) and has also been adapted into a comic. The series has sold over 14.85 million copies in total.

The first season of the TV anime aired from January to March 2021, and the second season from October to December of the same year. The high-quality visuals produced by Studio Bind, an animation production company established for the series, also attracted attention. The first cour of the second season aired from July to September 2023.
