Haikyu!! the Movie: Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump: Box office revenue exceeds 10 billion yen, 6.99 million viewers are a huge hit

It has been revealed that the new movie version of the anime "Haikyu!!", "Haikyu!! the Movie: Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump", has exceeded 10 billion yen in box office revenue in the 75 days since its release on February 16th. The movie got off to a good start, recording approximately 2.23 billion yen in box office revenue in the three days since its release. Box office revenue exceeded 5 billion yen in the 17th day after its release. It reached the 10 billion yen mark in the 75th day after its release. It has been a huge hit, with audience numbers exceeding 6.99 million.

"Haikyu!!" was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from February 2012 to July 2020. The story follows Hinata Shoyo, who suffered a crushing defeat in his final official match in middle school, as he reunites with Kageyama Tobio, a member of the opposing team, at the Karasuno High School volleyball team, where they move on to higher education, and the two of them aim to reach the top together. The series has sold over 60 million copies in total.

The first season of the TV anime will be from April to September 2014, the second season will be from October 2015 to March 2016, the third season will be from October to December 2016, and the first season of the fourth season will be from January 2020.
