Mobile Suit Gundam SEED: Special production with a “moving life-sized Gundam” to be held this winter

A special production featuring songs from the anime ``Mobile Suit Gundam SEED'' will be released this winter on a ``life-sized moving Gundam'' that is approximately 18 meters tall. This production commemorates the release of the completely new movie version of "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED" called "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom" on January 26, 2024. It was announced on October 6th at the "Gundam" series presentation held at the Shinjuku Sumitomo Building Triangle Plaza (Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo).

GUNDAM FACTORY YOKOHAMA (Naka-ku, Yokohama), which has a 18-meter-tall moving life-size Gundam, opened in December 2020, and about 1.3 million people visited in 854 days. Scheduled to be open until March 31, 2024.

The project to move the full-sized Gundam began in 2014 as the "Gundam GLOBAL CHALLENGE." The Gundam survived a battle between humans and spacenoids and was said to have been lost, but a large number of parts were discovered near Yamashita Wharf, and engineers researched, analyzed, and rebuilt them. It was verified and designed by researchers, engineers, etc., taking into consideration feasibility, safety, design, etc.

The arms and legs are movable, making movements as if walking, a pose in which both arms are raised, a starting pose in which the figure bends slightly at the waist and looks slightly upwards, and a pose in which the right arm is raised in the image of the final shooting of the famous scene. Possible.
