The Providence Gundam figure that appears in the anime ``Mobile Suit Gundam SEED'' will be released as ``METAL BUILD Providence Gundam'' from Bandai Spirits' ``METAL BUILD'' series.
Its biggest feature, the large-volume Dragoon platform, has an unfolding gimmick that changes its silhouette. All dragoons have a movable mechanism at their base. Die-casting is used mainly for the body and joints to express the texture and presence unique to metal.
A person in charge of development at Bandai Spirits said, ``When commercializing Providence, we kept in mind the idea of recreating an overwhelming sense of intimidation and presence.In particular, the huge dragoon platform on the back was created under the supervision of this product. A large volume based on the original drawings by Satoshi Shigeta, the chief mecha animation director of "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED", is reproduced with the product's original enlargement gimmick, creating an overwhelming presence.Furthermore, all dragoons have movable supports for deployment. It is included in the package so that the images from the play that attack from the main unit can be reproduced on the display.
Equipped with a composite weapon mantlet system consisting of a beam cannon, beam saber, and oscillator, as well as a large Eudychium beam rifle. The total height including the dragoon is approximately 33.5 cm.
The price is 46,200 yen. Reservations will be accepted on Bandai Namco Group's official shopping site "Premium Bandai" from 6pm on September 13th. Scheduled to ship in January 2024.
