Evangelion Expo: Huge exhibits continue to appear at the Tokyo Triumphant Exhibition, including the first life-size figure of Ayanami Rei (working name) in 11 years

The Tokyo homecoming of the popular anime series "Evangelion," "EVANGELION CROSSING EXPO - The Great Evangelion Exposition - (Eva Expo)," will be held at the Roppongi Museum in Tokyo from September 13th. The exhibition, which started at Shibuya Hikarie in Tokyo in July 2022, will make a triumphant return to Tokyo after a national tour, and it has been revealed that four new large-scale exhibits will be added.

The new exhibits include a life-size figure of Ayanami Rei (working name), a life-size reproduction of an original illustration from the "Evangelion Exhibition" held at Matsuya Ginza in Tokyo in August 2013, an extra-large Lance of Longinus measuring 3.5 meters in height and weighing 100 kilograms, a gigantic Evangelion Unit-01 has been exhibited at various events, and a Progressive Knife, known as Unit-01's weapon, recreating the powerful scene in which it pierces the core of an angel. This will be the first time in about 11 years since the "Evangelion Exhibition" that a life-size figure of Ayanami Rei (working name) will be exhibited in Tokyo.

On the occasion of the Tokyo Triumphant Exhibition, it was also announced that the Roppongi Logo and Eva Expo will collaborate. Advance tickets with an acrylic key holder combining the Evangelion Mark.6 illustration and the Roppongi logo will be available for purchase on July 20. The price is 3,200 yen.

The exhibition is an event that brings together all the "things" and "events" from the "Evangelion" series, which has been popular for about 29 years since the TV anime "Neon Genesis Evangelion" began broadcasting in 1995, with a total of over 4,000 items on display. The Tokyo Triumphant Exhibition will be held at the Roppongi Museum from September 13th to October 22nd.
